ROMAN ENGINEERING MARVEL

ROMAN AQUEDUCT

In Segovia, a 2000 year-old stone aqueduct built by the Romans bisects the town into two. Almost a kilometer-long section still stands with 118 arches. Its sheer height of 30 meters is quite awe-inspiring  and it is a must to climb halfway in order to better appreciate the engineering  effort put into it as well as to enjoy the view of the whole place with the mountains in the far background..
